Lorence Wenke: Former 3-Term Michigan Representative Joins Get Your Justice Live
Lorence Wenke, 3-term Representative, is heading towards the Michigan Senate. The Michigan 20th District Senate seat, currently occupied by Republican Tom George who is term limited, is up for grabs in the 2010 elections. There is more at-stake than just the one seat in this race, with 30 of Michigan’s 38 Senate Seats up for heated contests around the State. Republicans currently hold a majority of Michigan Senate Seats. It is anticipated that Wenke will face a Primary challenger, Tonya Schuitmakers (Republican MI-Rep-80th District), in the coming election.
Lorence Wenke joins Get Your Justice Live to discuss many of the hard-issues that Michigan is facing, along with bringing a challenge for all state Representatives, Senators, and Michigan State Employees. The challenge, to have all State of Michigan employees pay a mere 25% of their own health care premiums, which will save Michigan over 1Billion dollars. In fact, this former State Representative even brought a check for over $4000.00 to put his money where his challenge is.
Lorence has been married to Nancy (Boven) Wenke, a nurse at Borgess Hospital, for over 43 years. They have two (2) children, Lisa Ambrosio and Rev. Jeff Wenke. They adore their six (6) grandchildren. Lorence believes that everyone deserves the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness and is 100% Pro-Life. Lorence has been previously endorsed by Michigan Right to Life.
